Educational Method

Holistic approach: body, mind, soul and spirit

We use a unique educational method, strongly rooted in the values and principles of Scripture, which approaches the learning process from the perspective of working individually for each child and touching all areas of a child’s development. The main objectives in education reach the intellectual, physical, emotional, relational and spiritual development.

By taking this approach, thousands of families have achieved their educational goals for their children who have developed harmoniously, reached high academic levels and at the same time become people of character who love God, live their lives in obedience to Him and are useful to their communities.

This is a method where the teacher’s attention is focused on the student and not on the classroom. Each child has their own personal workspace, desk or table, where they can organise and personalise their organisation and learning style. The work materials remain at the centre, freeing the children from the burden of their backpacks. The teacher teaches, supervises, guides, motivates and encourages individual children.

The material for a year is structured into five or ten workbooks called Light Units. Each workbook is divided into fifteen lessons. A test is taken every four lessons and a final test is taken at the end of the workbook. If at least 80 out of 100 points are scored, the child is ready to progress, and if less than 80 points are scored, the concepts not yet mastered will be reviewed and additional explanations and exercises will be given. He will take a test again and can only advance if he gets at least 80 points again. Therefore, the child does not progress until the concepts and learning elements have been well assimilated.

The child works on a lesson every day, introducing a new concept. The lesson also includes a review part so that the child works every day with all the concepts learned later.

Each child has the opportunity to work at his or her own pace, with no competition between children being encouraged, instead personal growth and progress is encouraged. Children are encouraged to self-assess their progress against learning objectives and to observe personal progress on a daily basis, not by comparing themselves with other children. Developing the ability to work independently and qualitatively is one of the main objectives of this method. Exercises are worked on individually so that each child can develop their thinking, imagination and creativity.

The reward system, accumulation of points, constant encouragement, special recognition and appreciation for hard work and effort support and increase the child’s motivation, helping them to reach their potential. Personal contentment increases as the child’s level of involvement increases. Being able to check and correct your own work with access to the correct answer choices adds to your personal motivation and need for control. The benefits of this method are innumerable and prepare the child to cope successfully with all the learning situations they will be exposed to throughout life.
